Making Music, the National Federation of Music Societies, represents and supports over 2,400 voluntary music groups of all genres throughout the UK.

With a network of over 200 volunteers and as well as 20 full time staff across the UK and based at our Central Office in London, we provide a comprehensive range of artistic and administrative services and development and training opportunities.

Making Music is hugely active in providing opportunities for young people to experience live music-making and also lobbies on behalf of our members to national and local government and other agencies.

Making Music groups contain over 150,000 people providing live music across the UK and Making Music\'s proudest claim is that in many communities a Making Music event is the only form of live music.
