Hi - my name is Eileen Thompson and I have always loved to paint. I am largely self-taught, developing my interest as a digression from the responsibilities of caring for a son who has learning difficulties.

For a few years I painted Miniatures and had some hung in the Royal Academy Summer exhibitions. I exhibit my work every year with the Ass. of Sussex Artists. I have also undertaken work for Daler-Rowney and Roemary Jane Designs.

My style is mostly realism - but I also enjoy experimenting with looser more abstract work. I love painting domestic and wild life, Still Life, flowers and landscapes.

I often take photographs as a reference for my paintings and sometimes these become interesting in their own right, so I have included these too.
